Sweet Sweet Childhood

Living in the U.S. aint all it's cracked up to be...

Miami! lovely hot weather and nice big malls to shop in. At least that's what I remember.
Being a person from a third world country isn't exactly easy. Spending half of your infancy thinking your North American isn't either.Nevertheless, I do remember having a great time as a kid, loving the toys and the fast food, its all pretty charming in a way.

No, don't worry. I understand that not many people see it that way...

Sadly, it all seemed to go to an end to soon... Being only 7 years old and leaving the country that made me dream of shopping like crazy for useless junk was pretty sad... Oh well! what a pity...

Capitalism always gets its way somehow...Well getting back to the story. Hated being back home, if that place could be called home, I used to think. Not that there was anything wrong with where I lived. I was just too used to those stupid big lakes and those pastel colored houses. Eventually, I got over all that and started to see how nice my country was, how fun people were, how warm the family felt...

One thing is for certain, I've never forgotten my childhood, never forgotten my English nor has my preference for North American things changed in anyway...

Memories always come back to me of those days when I used to run next to the lake and catch tadpoles... though they always died in my glass...
